BIOGRAPHICAL DETAILS: It seems that relatives were always dumping their problems in Donald Duck's lap. Upon the occasion of Cousin Gus' introduction he was accompanied by a note which read:

"Dear Nephew- This is your cousin Gus Goose. I am sending him to visit you -
  Love,
    Aunt Fanny
PS: He don't eat much."

Of course this turned out to be a lie. Donald Duck found Gus' bottomless-pit appetite exasperating. Gus' only other film appearance was a cameo in "Mickey's Christmas Carol" (1983). But his most consistent roll has been as Grandma Duck's slothful handyman on her farm. He has also starred with Goofy as Squire Gus in the "Mighty Knight" stories, where they often combat the villainous Robber Knight (though it could be said that both were actually ancestors of our heroes). As a member of the "Duck Family" he has appeared in many Donald, Huey, Dewey & Louie and Uncle $crooge stories as well.  The friend and neighbor Gustav Goose from "Quack Pack" is probably not the same as Cousin Gus since there are very few similarities (aside from the name and general size of the character).

HISTORICAL FACTS: Gus is a creation of the "Duck Man," Carl Barks.
